Comedian Bill Maher said with regard to predictions that Hillary Clinton will run for U.S. president next time that we have to admire the dedication of the Democrats. They just lost one election and are already hard at work planning to lose the next one. And so it is with the Social Democrats too. Their latest bad news is that Stanislav Gross's approval rating fell another 11 points in Nov., to 40%. The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung wrote him off on its front page, saying that no one cares anymore what he thinks, because he might not be around much longer anyway. Miloš Zeman predicted a sound defeat for ÈSSD next time, unless it makes major changes. The Communists are benefiting from ÈSSD's problems, but Vice Chair Jiøí Dolejš told Právo that they have no reason to dance on ÈSSD's grave, because ÈSSD's decline is bad for the Czech left in general.
