How to fabricate evidence

Investigators on "CSI" can solve two murders in 43 minutes, but Jiří Paroubek still hasn't found his "assassin" after several weeks of trying. After mentioning it repeatedly, he finally received the "Kubice II" smear plan in the mail from an "anonymous" source. It details how TV Nova, Aktualne.cz and MFD were to use his alleged mafia ties and mistresses to destroy him. The obvious beneficiary would be ODS. Paroubek said he doesn't know who sent him the document, but he said nothing about calling in the police to lift fingerprints and DNA. One possible explanation for such mishandling of evidence is that ČSSD concocted it itself. If it did, it took more precautions than in its earlier PB smear attempt. For posting the document on the web, it scanned it into Acrobat, instead of relying on a traceable electronic original. A really nice touch was the stain on the paper.
