The Czech Republic is one of the countries doing the most to stand up to Russia, according to PM Petr Fiala, and it agreed on an aggressive 10-point plan with Poland and Slovenia. Delivering weapons isn't on the list, but Dep. Defense Min. Tomáš Kopečný told the Wall Street Journal that his government has "instructed all the companies in the Czech Republic just to produce at their maximum capacity, because the moment they roll it from the factory, we take it, and we ship it [to Ukraine]." The U.S. has signaled that it is willing to buy much of the $500m in gear in Czech warehouses (ammunition, anti-aircraft missiles, etc.) for onward donation to Ukraine, the WSJ reported. It seems that the CR has become a conduit for the effort of the U.S. government to prolong the war. When we wrote last week about the warmongers among us, we received a large number of negative reactions from people who approve of taking a tough line. They must have their fallout shelters stocked and ready. [ Czech Republic deputy military arms weapons United States rockets ]
