Have Czech cabinet ministers and public-health officials been sipping from the same straw? For weeks they've been warning Czechs about irresponsible behavior, and then a whole herd of them, including four ministers, landed in home isolation. An investigation is needed to determine whether they were properly washing their hands, wearing their masks and keeping a distance. If not, they should be sent to the corner in their private quarantine. This goes especially for Chief Epidemiologist Petr Smejkal of IKEM. He preaches "test, test, test," because we don't want to take any chances with this deadly virus, but then he split hairs to avoid going into quarantine. He was on Czech TV a week ago with Chief Public Health Official Jarmila Rážová, who tested positive on Wed., and with debate-show host Václav Moravec, who went into quarantine because of Rážová, but he was back in the studio again yesterday.
