Andrej Babiš has decided to combine lithium with OKD to attack ČSSD in the final days of the campaign, and now ČSSD a.s. must decide whether to hit back by having Babiš arrested in the Stork's Nest matter. Predicting Babiš's fate is a fool's game, but two examples from France can serve as starting points. Dominique Strauss-Kahn became a household name the world over in May 2011 after being arrested in New York City on sexual-assault charges. Although he was the managing director of the International Monetary Fund, he was made to take the perp walk and was totally humiliated. All charges were later dropped, but he was out of a job. His successor, Christine Lagarde, was found guilty last year - guilty! - of negligence for her role in a $403m arbitration ruling in favor of businessman Bernard Tapie. Not only did she keep her job, but the IMF board voiced its support for her. Can ČSSD a.s. really be so sure that Andrej is another Dominique? [Czech Republic prison pretrial detention]
