Religions, cults and sects generally have commandments, rules or codes of conduct for directing the behavior of their disciples. The Code of a Scientologist, for example, provides 20 guidelines for "fighting for human rights and justice through social reform." The Fiala-led coalition passed its own code in Parliament on March 19. It insists on having a united foreign and security policy, rejecting doubts about warnings raised by the armed forces, and refraining from promoting the wartime propaganda of the terrorist Russian regime. This leaves little room for serious analysis, so ex-Foreign Min. Cyril Svoboda of KDU-ČSL could now face expulsion from the sect. What happens, though, when members of the Fiala administration themselves start thinking outside of the box about Ukraine, as Foreign Min. Jan Lipavský and National Security Adviser Tomáš Pojar are sometimes wont to do? Will any such freethinkers start separating themselves from the sect, or will the code merely be rewritten?
