The spontaneous reaction of the other EU election leaders on CNN Prima News last Wed. when STAN's top candidate, Danuše Nerudová, made two bloopers - about migration and the EU veto (here and here) - redefined the election campaign. With the unrehearsed mockery came the realization that STAN's votes - maybe even its seats - could be up for grabs. All the other parties now have more incentive than ever to make STAN their main target. The parties that are assured of getting into the EU Parliament - ANO, Spolu, Pirates, SPD+Trikolora - can look for more votes by pounding STAN for anointing the unprepared Nerudová, for lying about the migration pact, for wanting to give up the veto, for Dosimeter, for Education Min. Mikuláš Bek's expensive apartment or for wanting to send troops to Ukraine. The parties hoping to get past 5% - Stačilo!, SocDem, Přísaha+Motoristé, etc. - might have different target voters, but some of them could still win big if STAN is pushed below the 5% threshold.
