There have been reports off and on in the Czech press for 20 years that VáclavKlaus is homosexual, but never has the political significance been as great as now.How can Klaus be an opponent of a gay-pride march if, as the editor of a gay magazineclaimed in Instinkt (and which iDnes picked up), he is himself gay? JakubStarý said he has no proof but that "gaydar" tells him Klaus is homosexual. MFDdidn't run the story in the print version but it did refer to Klaus today by his gaynickname, "Kikina." By opposing Prague Pride, Klaus seems hypocritical at the veryleast. Or worse, using the logic applied to Obama by Psychology Prof. Drew Westen,it might suggest that he hasn't resolved his own identity. Klaus's coyness mightanger the gay community, but the question is whether it will alienate the far-rightvoters he's trying to attract. Probably not, unless gay lovers start coming forward.
