Environment Min. Petr Hladík of KDU-ČSL told MFD last week that he likely won't get the deposit law for PET bottles and aluminum cans passed during this election period but that it will have to be put in place later anyway. Maybe. This could actually become a model case of how not to get something accomplished. Start with Hladík himself. His seedy past in Brno should have disqualified him from the job of minister, but he quickly reinforced his own image by pawning off a drinks-industry deposit experiment as his own. The head of the company that helped pay for the deposit test, Pres. Alessandro Pasquale of Mattoni 1873, later told Euro that all the arguments of the waste companies and municipalities that oppose the deposits are lies. By then it had become a battle of local vs. global interests. The globalists ended up getting outfoxed for a change, and delay at all cost will now be the name of the game for the nationalists in this and other similar cases. Globalism, after all, is on Donald Trump's hit list. [ Czech Republic beverages soft drinks magazine MF Dnes implement nationalism ]
