The media rarely talk about it, but the main initial target of the police in the Dosimeter criminal case was apparently now-deceased STAN Vice Chair Věslav Michalik. He was an experienced investment banker and dealmaker and was the party's financial brain. He was also a nuclear physicist who had worked at the Institute of Radiation Dosimetry, hence apparently the code name for the Dosimeter investigation. When SPD candidate Miroslav Ševčík asked MP Petr Letocha of STAN on TV Prima on Sun. whether the party had returned the money Michalik gave it for financing the last election campaign, Letocha responded that it was ridiculous and disgusting of Ševčík to speak about someone who was never charged with anything and is no longer with us. However, as Michalik's name resurfaces more and more often in the Dosimeter trial and in leaks to the press, the current defendants in the case (Michal Redl, Petr Hlubuček, Pavel Kos, etc.) might very well start looking like just the little fish.
