The U.S. Dept. of War writes in its new National Defense Strategy that Canada and Mexico have strong roles in the defense of the Western Hemisphere and that "we will be clear with our European allies that their efforts and resources are best focused on Europe." The U.S. military, for its part, "will actively and fearlessly defend America's interests throughout the Western Hemisphere. We will guarantee U.S. military and commercial access to key terrain, esp. the Panama Canal, Gulf of America, and Greenland." Czech Pres. Petr Pavel told TV Nova last Wed., on the same day that Donald Trump dropped his threat to take Greenland by force, that it's clear that Trump's view on ensuring the security of the U.S. is changing: "Absolutely critical for Trump, he says, is the situation in the Western Hemisphere, where Europe, by the way, doesn't belong." Ah, but Greenland is indeed in the Western Hemisphere, and Trump wants the EU out. Redrawing and enforcing the Prime Meridian is what this is all about.
